So yes, I wrote my first blog, reviewed it and saw all the grammatical errors, the pointless point… The rambling…but hey do I really care, yes and no. I wish it was grammatically perfect and each word was succinct and created pictures and colors and smells and tastes in the mind of the reader …..but no, not so.
(I like the word succinct …it’s beautiful, its taste is like a sweet well-riped juicy East Indian Jamaican mango, dripping down the palm of my hand, through my fingers, gently…like thick lava that slowly makes is way down the side of a mountain …,..meandering, dripping at the tip of my elbow…and I….trying not to soil my beautiful garment with the richness of its thick yellow juice, my focuse is on the sweetness of this beautifully shaped fruit….it’s succulence ….the word succinct).
So yes, I wish my first blog was succinct, and edgy and exciting…I thought, let’s change it, let’s edit it….but editing if for later. I want to see my embryonic tadpole state of writing, and watch my development as I toddle and learn to walk erect and “up-write” and mature and, yes, SUCCINCT.
It’s good for me…it’s good to watch my change and growth, and ask, what were you thinking, what was the point…ever nature in all its glory teaches that there is conception, growth and unfortunately death….I know every editor and publisher needs a finished picture perfect work, ready for the market, and as one who had done some work in publishing, I agree.
So I guess that’s why there is blogging…. making authors and writers, and bloggers …. Into “up-write” and erect and, yes….just one last time…succinct…..mature writers! Selah.
